Sunny Day

Yep we're having a crappy, snowy winter here in WI. But man it's a sunny day today. And I recall when we told some someone that we had 14 inches of snow a couple of weeks ago and she said, "You're so lucky!"

All depends on how you look at it, huh?

Well Happy New Years everybody and I hope to post some stuff soon. Soul Amp has been on another hiatus, but there are still a few tunes out there for me to mix and post and so I hope to have some of those up in the next few weeks. Stay tuned.

Peace and Hope... The Genius of America

I just happened to check out Bradly's old blog called "Where Are the Weapons" that expressed the outrage this artist/philosopher/thinker/friend felt about the Bush adminstration's antics.

The day after Obama won the election he posted this (Bradly, I hope you don't mind me repeating here...it just such a good read and the original is here: http://wherearetheweapons.blogspot.com/).

The Genius of America

Barack Obama wins!

Our long nightmare is almost over.

It was a historic and amazing night that showed clearly our shared humanity. For so long this nation has been mired by hate, greed and division. So much of this blog has highlighted over the years.

In recent months I stopped posting. I could not find the words anymore. The outrage was complete and I felt that nothing would ever change and this nation was doomed.

I am glad to say that I am wrong. We do have much to hope for, the future being the most important challenge we face. It is now our task to set this nation on a path that leads to a peaceful, clean future for generations to come.

It is our time to lead, not to take. It is our time to give ourselves to our brother's and sisters and help set right what has long been plaguing us and keeping us from realizing our full potential.
As I watched the story unfold last night I can say it was the single most moving experience, second only to the birth of my daughter. We as a nation finally stood together in love and peace and looked forward into the future with warm hearts.

Below is a bit of music I put together a few days a ago that presents a coda on "Where Are The Weapons".

Peace and love

Bradly

Oh and here's a song/video Bradly composed and performed. You need to check it out (not just because my pics on in the video):
